Hello, I’m Andreas Torgersen, living in Norway and the founder of MarketInsiderLab.com.

My journey into the world of business started with my Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Finance from BI Norwegian Business School.

While working on my final project, my interest in Big Data Analytics developed. My project was about whether the volatility suggested by option prices in the market is a better predictor of future stock prices than historical data. This work wasn’t just an assignment for me; it was a deep dive into how data can tell stories and predict trends, way beyond what we see on the surface.

This exploration into data and predictions was eye-opening. It showed me how powerful data can be in making decisions and forecasting. From this experience, I learned to look at data not just as numbers or statistics, but as a key to understanding bigger pictures and as untapped resource capable of offering profound insights across various domains.

This early engagement with Big Data Analytics set the stage for my professional path. It instilled in me a foundational belief in the importance of leveraging unconventional data to inform decisions and strategies, a principle that has become a cornerstone of my career and the foundation of MarketInsiderLab.
